I was told from a young age that if I share what I have, when I am in need, it will come back to me tenfold. I have been donating $10 every week to the Relief Fund from my paycheck to help anyone in need. I never thought I would need it, but I did, and I was eligible for help.
My husband was very ill for several months, which led to him being hospitalized. We quickly found ourselves struggling when we went from two incomes to one and were about to lose our house. I spoke with my supervisor to see if I could pick up more shifts or work extra hours and he told me about the Relief Fund.
Thank God and thank Aveanna for being there for me, and thank you, my fellow employees for being there when I needed it most.
Aveanna has an amazing program that allows their employees to help each other.

The last week of May 2019, my car got totaled by a runaway vehicle while I was parked at a client’s home for an overnight shift. Without a car, I was unable to commute to and from work.
When I reached out to my supervisor, he directed me toward the Aveanna Employee Relief Fund. When my request was approved, it was a blessing, which allowed me to put a down payment on another car.
Relief is just that – relief. This fund alleviates the pressure on other hard-working Aveanna family members who fall into unexpected hardships, so that they can continue to revolutionize the way that healthcare is delivered, one patient at a time.

During vacation I obtained a spiral fracture to my left tibia and a fracture to my left fibula. It was an estimated three months before I could get back to work. I was on disability for quite some time. The relief fund was a huge relief, just as it's in the name. I used my financial assistance to continue paying for my medical benefits for myself but also my children.
I recommend employees to contribute to the relief fund because not only are you helping another family, but if it's needed, it will be there to help you as well. You never know when a situation will arise that will put you out of work and the extra money will come in handy.
